One of the most common forms of balding that affects men as well as women, is a condition known as pattern baldness. It is thought that dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a male hormone, is the cause. DHT damages the hair follicle, preventing it from growing hair that reaches the surface. When DHT levels are high, it is thought that the growth phase of hair is shortened and that it takes less time for hair to fall out then when DHT levels are low. Healthy Hair Caps combines two effective DHT-blocking ingredients–saw palmetto and beta-sitosterol–that work to lower DHT levels.* All six ingredients in Healthy Hair Caps are known for their ability to enhance hair growth or improve the health of hair in general.* In addition to DHT-blocking ingredients, the formula includes other hair-healthy nutrients such as PABA, biotin and stinging nettle extract.*
